Until next week, a short stretch of 4th Street near the Union Pacific Railroad main line will be closed as crews replace arms along the track and put in new concrete, said engineering project manager Jerry Martinez.
Drivers along the road will be detoured either on E Street or Gateway Drive, Martinez said, until the construction, which began Monday, is finished.
“That crossing at 4th Street is not going to be open until next Tuesday, possibly Wednesday,” Martinez said.
