The Big Brothers Big Sisters soccer clinic saw over 100 youth learn soccer skills, teamwork and make new friends during the annual event. The free clinic was open for boys and girls ages 6 to 16 living in Madera County.
Event Coordinator Ren Hallett was pleased with the event. “This is our fourth annual free clinic and it looks like each year more and more kids are learning soccer and having a great time,” said Hallett.
Fresno Fuego soccer team mascot Scorcher was also present to pose for photos and encourage the youth. Registration began Saturday morning at the Sunrise Rotary Sports Complex with coaches Christino Armiento from Madera South and Jeff Clark from Madera Ranchos Youth Soccer pacing the participants through various skills.
The participants also received a free T-shirt and a free lunch prepared by the Institute of Technology (Culinary Arts).
