SANGER (AP) — The California Highway Patrol says three women were killed in a head-on collision with a suspected drunk driver in Fresno County.
CHP Officer Sean Haller says the deadly crash happened about 6:30 p.m. Saturday northwest of Sanger. He says a Chevy van failed to stop at a stop sign, made a too-wide turn, clipped a minivan and slammed into a Toyota compact with four women.
The Fresno Bee reported the woman who was not killed was taken to a local hospital.
Officials say the suspect was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter.
