If you’ve seen police with guns drawn outside the downtown Madera Wells Fargo lately, officers say don’t worry — everything is okay.
For the past week, Sgt. Gino Chiaramonte with the Madera Police Department said the Wells Fargo branch at Yosemite Avenue and D Street has had trouble with its robbery alarms.
“The alarm goes off and we don’t know if it’s real or not, so we have to respond as though it were a real robbery,” Chiaramonte said.
